PayDay, the “little brown dog with an adorable underbite” had fled from his garden two years ago after being frightened by fireworks. (I thought this was a Jolly news report?, “hang on in there and walk with me a little longer”) 

A reconfirmation that perhaps everything really does happen for a reason, Dwight Gary from Wisconsin gave himself a rare treat of sleeping with the TV on. In the morning, Dwight was woken up by the TV playing an ‘adopt a dog’ segment. “Meet Mason” The news segment began, “No that’s not Mason, that’s most definitely Payday!” Recognising the distinct underbite on his coin sized canine. He immediately contented channel 6 and began the arrangements that eventually led to their reunion. 

The Wisconsin Humane Society wrote about the fairy tale ending in a post on its Facebook page saying “Payday was originally brought home as a companion for Dwight’s now 12-year-old daughter, who was still distraught over the incredible loss of her best friend. Dwight’s mom, Melissa, came to pick up the beloved pup and — as you can see — it was the most incredible reunion! We are beyond ecstatic for this amazing family to finally be whole again.”
